We are looking for a Junior UI Engineer to join our UI Engineering Team. This is a remote role, open to candidates located anywhere in Europe, provided they can work in Central European Time (CET). The consultant will report to and collaborate closely with a senior engineer.

The consultant must be proactive, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and act as a representative of SoftwareOne

What we need to see from you

Fluent English (spoken and written) is a strict requirement for this role.

Key Requirements:

We don’t expect candidates to meet every single criterion, but ideally they will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in frontend development using ReactJS and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong React skills, including hooks, state management, and lifecycle methods
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and accessibility standards
• Ability to build and maintain high-performance user interfaces
• Experience with Git workflows and frontend build tools (e.g., Vite, Storybook, Biome)
• Collaboration with designers and UX experts on UI design and interactions
• Participation in code reviews, with openness to feedback and peer input
• Experience testing UI components using tools like Vitest, React Testing Library, and Storybook
• Strong debugging skills and ability to resolve issues with cross-functional teams
• Active involvement in agile processes (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills
