We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Manager, User Experience (UX) Design to join our global  user experience team and lead product software user experience design for stand-alone and integrated software across Cytiva’s biotechnology portfolio. In this role, you will foster a collaborative, creative and continuous improvement culture within the design team and with stakeholders in product management, R&D and product marketing.

This position reports to the Director, User Experience Design, is part of the global user experience team and will be located onsite in Portsmouth, UK.

What you will do:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of UX designers and UI designers to deliver user-centered design solutions for our product software portfolio.

• Support the product development process by driving the UX strategy and vision for assigned products aligning with overall business goals

• Champion a user-centered design approach across the organization and influence product decisions with compelling narratives grounded in user insights

• Own the development, evolution and implementation of Cytiva´s Software Design system.

• Set ambitious goals for the team, drive operational efficiency, provide developmental feedback to support individual growth, manage resources and support the budget process

• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the design team. 

• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and work effectively in cross-functional teams. 

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in User Experience  Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field. 

• A proven background in user experience design in software applications, with a proven track record of delivering innovative and user-centric solutions, hands on experience, and experience leading a UX design team

• Strong understanding of design and usability principles, including best practices. 

• Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, InVision. 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Master’s degree in UX design, human computer interaction or related field

• UX design experience in Healthcare or Life Sciences field and or experience in designing SW integrated with instrumentation
